Delicious chocolate brownies after a recipe from Mary Berry
We found the recipe for these Delicious Chocolate Brownies after a recipe from Mary Berry on a website called:

It is taken from Mary Berrys Book “My Kitchen Table – 100 cakes & bakes”
So here are the ingredients you will need:
275g (10oz) butter, softened
( we used margarine from Tesco’s )
375g (13oz) caster sugar
( no specific brand needed )
4 large eggs
( as I said in my last post we try to use free-range eggs wherever possible )
75g (3oz) cocoa powder
( no specific brand needed we used Tesco’s non-branded cocoa powder )
100g (4oz) self-raising flour
( we used non-branded flour for this as well )
100g (4oz) plain chocolate chips
( there definitely is a trend here isn’t there )
You will need a 30 x 23 x 4cm (12 x 9 x 1½in) traybake or roasting tin ( we used a silicone based baking tray )
Preheat the oven to 180°C/Fan 160°C/gas 4. Cut a rectangle of non-stick baking parchment to fit the base and sides of a 30cm x 23cm x 4cm traybake or roasting tin. Grease the tin and then line it with the paper ( in our case we didn’t line it as our tray is silicon based so pretty non-stick by itself ), pushing it neatly into the corners.
Measure all the ingredients into a large bowl. Gently fold in
and then mix with a hand-held electric mixer until evenly blended.
Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin, scraping the sides of the bowl with a plastic spatula to remove all of it. Spread the mixture gently to the corners of the tin and level the surface with the back of the spatula.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the brownies have a crusty top and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Cover loosely with foil for the last 10 minutes if the mixture is browning too much. Allow the brownies to cool in the tin and then cut into 24 squares ( or less depending on how many people it is for and how big you want the brownies to be ). Store in an airtight tin.
